When you think Disney, rides and living as a kid again may come to mind. While that’s the underlying premise, Disney understands that adults need their own experiences too. You’ll find that at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which happens from mid-August through mid-November.

If you know anything about the people at Disney, you know nothing is simple. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival occurs every fall for a couple of weeks to present the ultimate experience of food, fun, activities and more. From food and beverage pairings, to cooking demonstrations, anyone who attends the festival gets to experience a heightened sense of smell and taste.

Food & More

Imagine you’re in love with cheese. At the Food & Wine festival, you’ll be among some of the best cheese makers in the world! Seminars specifically addressing cheese on how it’s made, what goes best with it, and of course, cheeses you’ve never even heard of from around the world will all converge to enlighten and educate you.

You’ll get to learn all about beer, wine and spirits at one of the many beverage seminars, and get to taste new products from industry specialists. If you’re into cooking, you can attend a class with a master chef to get new tips for your kitchen, or dine with a culinary TV personality to find out some of their secret ingredients.

All of this excitement on a Disney property. That means you’ll not only have the experience of a food festival, but you’ll be able to explore Disney’s Epcot Center to learn more about the world. If you’re planning to attend, you must prepare yourself for the World Showcase. Foods from Africa, Asia, Britain, China, Japan, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Italy, Norway, Poland and America are just some delicacies you'll get to enjoy. Every baked good on earth is probably on the menu, as well as seafood and sushi cuisine.

It’s always best to attend on an empty stomach to make sure there’s enough room for everything you’ll see, smell and want to taste. Beyond the seminars and tastings, there are opportunities where you’ll be able to put what you’ve learned to the test and make it yourself. If you’re not interested in any of that and just want the food, there are multiple dining packages for breakfast, lunch or dinner while enjoying the concert of the evening.

No matter what, you’ll have a ball and will probably make plans to attend the following year. Don’t say you weren’t warned! Welcome to Florida.
